My grandfather, Harry Paul Minnick, was born in the Harrisburg area, Dauphin County, PA, on 15 Dec 1880. We obtained this info from a Marriage Application obtained in Philadelphia in 1912. My grandfather is listed as living in Philadlphia on the Marriage Application. My grandmother was Rose Anne [Boyle] Minnick (b. 1884 in Ireland)/d. 1965 in Philadelphia). Rose is listed as a resident of Burlington County, Pennsylvania at that time. They had three children: Catherine (b. 1912), Esther (b.1913/d. 1916), and my father, Harry Paul (b.28 Sep 1914, Dauphin County, PA/d. 1991, NJ). It would seem from my father’s birth (1914) in Dauphin County that the family was living in Dauphin County prior to 1920. I have located Rose, Catherine and Harry (my dad) in the 1920 and 1930 censuses for Philadelpia. Sometime prior to 1920 my grandfather leaves the family. Circumsances unknown. My Aunt Catherine located and spoke to her father in Florida (sometime around 1965-1975). I appreciate all of your time and effort in advance. Many thanks.
