I’m interested information on the parents of Frederick W. Yingst. He was born in Harrisburg in 1843 and died in 1920. There is a lot of local information on him, but I’ve found little to none on his father John Charles Yingst (b.1811 in Prussia/d.1851 in PA). John’s wife was Anna Snavely or Schnaeble (1816-1880). They met on shipboard to America circa 1830-1840. Five or six of John’s brothers went along to America as well, though they scattered and pssibly changed their names to Young or Younger. Some settled in Ohio, another in NY (possibly shanghaied!). John may be also known as Carl or Charles Juengst. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
